Job Description

Job Overview

The Youth Development Coach is responsible for supporting the club in coaching rugby and life skills curriculum to youth teams under our Nomads Youth Development Program (NYRP).

We are looking for 8-10 male and 8-10 female Coaches to support rugby and life skills learning for young athletes aged 14-16 years old starting January 2024.

Location: Makati City
Required Hours: 9 hours per week
Schedule: To be determined
Type: Paid Volunteer
Stipend & Allowance: Depends on the number of teams assigned

No rugby knowledge or experience required

The Manila Nomads, with technical support from the Philippines Rugby Football Union and ChildFund Rugby, will provide training and certification to successful candidates.

  • Recruit and manage 2 teams of young rugby players
  • Deliver 16 sessions of 90-minute rugby and life skills training to each team
  • Support with at least two competitions during the season
  • Attend monthly Coach meetings to further develop and improve skills as rugby and life skills Coaches
  • Attend online training about specific Club operations to learn skills and knowledge that can contribute to Club development
  • Perform team management and administration tasks as needed
  • Report to the Club Development officers
  • 18 to 25 years of age.
  • Complete and pass the 4-day Coaches Training Workshop.
  • Enjoy working with children.
  • Can commit to working at least 9 hours per week.
  • Can work Saturdays and Sundays or outside of the standard working hours.
  • Fluent in Filipino
  • Can adhere to the Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy.
  • Can uphold the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
  • Interested in paid part-time volunteer work.
  • Wants to become a life skills coach.
  • Wants to become a sports coach.
  • Can work in Makati
